Tamara Jackson – Head Coach and Coaching Representative
Tamara has been with our club for 18 years as a coach. As Coaching Rep, she attends all executive board meetings and liaison between the coaches and executive. Her role as Head Coach involves direct/indirect supervision and mentorship of all other coaches as well as point of contact for members in regards to coaching questions or concerns. She is Intermediate STARSkate/Provincial Coach (ISPC) Trained and a STAR 1-5 Assessor. Tamara has achieved Gold in Dance, Senior Silver Skills, and Junior Silver Freeskate. She continues to test skills, as her goal is to achieve Gold in this discipline.
Erin Dosenberg – Coach and Program Coordinator
Erin skated throughout her childhood, and started coaching at 16 with the Consort, Compeer, and Major skating clubs. After taking an 18 year break, she joined our club as a STARSkater and Program Assistant in 2014 and CanSkate Club Coach in 2015. Erin is a Regional Coach-In-Training (formally Primary STARSkate) and will be co-coaching STARSkate as well as all other levels. Erin has completed Junior Bronze Skills, Senior Bronze Dance, and Junior Bronze Freeskate. She continues to test skills and dance, as her goal is to achieve Gold in both of these disciplines. Erin is also a certified Artistic Gymnastics Foundations coach and will bring that experience into the off-ice portion of training.
Dianna Freh – CanSkate Coach In-Training
Dianna completed the CanSkate program during high school, and became a coach back then. After taking a break, she stepped back in the ice as a Program Assistant in 2016, and has been working towards getting recertified as a CanSkate coach. Dianna loves helping people learn the fundamentals of skating and can't wait for this skating season to start and to see everyone progress!
Edie Wagner – CanSkate Coach In-Training
Edie has started out in our CanSkate program as a child, and has progressed up through to STARSkate. She has achieved Senior Bronze Dance, Junior Silver Skills, and STAR 2 Freeskate. She continues to train with the STARSkate program, and has joined us this year as a CanSkate Coach.
Kelsey Ungstad – Senior Program Assistant
Kelsey skated with our club from 2010-2012. After graduation, she has continued to volunteer her time as a Program Assistant with the CanSkate and PreCanSkate programs. She is continuing to test Dance and Skills, with the goal of achieving STAR 5 in both disciplines. Kelsey is working towards CanSkate certification within the year, and hopes to join us as a CanSkate coach next season.
Allan Carver – Dance Partner
Al has been a part of skating for many years. He was a member of the Royal Glenora Club from 1970-1973 and competed as a Novice at Canadians in 1971. He coached in Edmonton from 1979 to 1983, after which he became a dance partner for multiple clubs. Al travels from Edmonton once a month so our STARSkaters can practice their dances and be ready for high level tests.
Clyde Hammer – Free Skate Clinic Coach
Clyde coaches primarily out of Fliteway Figure Skating Club in Edmonton. He has trained numerous Sectional medalists and champions. He has coached skaters to five National Championships as well as Senior Competitive and extensive Gold test levels. Clyde completed the Seneca College Sports Program and has 26 years coaching experience. He is a certified National Coach (NCCP Level 3). Clyde travels from Edmonton once a month to provide our STARSkaters with semi-private and private lessons.
